Introduction

Visit South Albania, a large region where some of the nicest cities are located.  Berat and Gjirokastra are famous for history, culture, art, and tradition. Between them, there are some hidden treasures like Butrint famous for nature, water, mountains, and the Albanian Riviera. 

Day 1: Tirane – Berat

Meet in the Lobby of the hotel and transfer to Berat, one of the oldest towns in Albania part of UNESCO. Visit the Castle of Berat one of the oldest and biggest castles in Albania still inhabited. Walk through the narrow paths of the castle and visit interesting monuments like Acropolis, Holy Trinity church and Onufri Museum - One of the most interesting iconographic museums in Albania  Lunch in an Albanian family so you can learn more about our traditional food and culture. Check-in Hotel and during the afternoon the guided tour of historic Quarters: Mangalam and Gorica  Visit the king Mosque and the HelvetiTeqe  Check in Hotel  Evening free to enjoy the atmpsphere of Berat

Day 2 - Berat -Apolloni–Gjirokaster

After breakfast depart to Apollonia, one of the oldest archaeological sites of Albania founded during the VII century BC  Guided tour of Apollonia ruins and Archaeological Museum  After that, the journey will proceed to Gjirokaster another UNESCO site known in Albania as the Stone city  Lunch in a restaurant where they serve traditional food and after that check-in Hotel  We will proceed with a Visit to Gjirokastra castle and Weapons Museum located inside the Castle  Visit the Ethnographic museum ( the house of Albanian Communist Dictator Enver Hoxha ) Visit the Zekati house and if you will feel not tired we will visit the house of Ismail Kadare -an Albanian writer candidate for Nobel Price  Free eveningh to enjoy the atmosphere of old Bazaar

Day 3- Gjirokaster - Blue Eye - Butrint - Sarande

After breakfast depart to Sarande with a stop at Blue Eye National Park - Have a coffee or drink and then proceed to Butrint one of the most interesting Historical, Natural and Archaeological sites of Albania  Guided tour of Butrint than visit Ksamil a coastal village famous for its small islands  Lunch in front of the Islands  After lunch, we will drive via Albanian Coast one of the most spectacular drives in Albania  Overnight in Qeparo a small Coastal Village

Day 4 Qeparo - Vlore - - Tirane

After breakfast we will visit the old Qeparo known as Upper Qeparo - The village is built in a cliff 300 m above sea level. Walk in the narrow paths of Qeparo and see the old houses from XVII century  We will proceed with a visit at Porto Palermo Castle and a stop at Llogara Pass 1100 m above sea level  Lunch in Vlore - one of the Biggest coastal towns in Albania known as the City of Independence  Albanian patriots declared the independence of Albania in 1912 from Vlore We will start driving in Tirane Direction With a stop on the way if you would like to have a drink or a Caffe. Drop off Tirane
